Love Is The Question

Born out of an intense season of unexpected transformation, Sojourn is the debut 3-song EP from Love Is The Question, a cinematic studio collaboration between Maine-based artists Sara Goldenthal and Justin Maxwell.

Steeped in a raw, evocative texture, the project carries a deep Desert Noir and Gothic Americana aesthetic. The tracklist explores slow-burning, Atmospheric Rock and Slowcore reimaginings of three raw classics: a haunting, echo-laden rendition of Neil Young’s “Down by the River,” a remarkably intimate, up-close piano and vocal performance on Elvis Costello’s “I Want You,” and a heavy, cinematic closing cover of U2’s “Love Is Blindness” which earned validating praise from legendary producer Steve Lillywhite. 

Driven by a stark, spacious "Paris, Texas" style guitar arrangement and striking vocal delivery, Sojourn serves as a haunting sonic bridge between reality, memory, and the subconscious.
